“This brutal act is rejected by all religions and deserves every condemnation and denunciation,” UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan said. Sheikh Abdullah also expressed the UAE’s solidarity with Britain in combating terrorism, and hailed the way the British government dealt with the crime.

The UAE minister praised the strong and clear stance of Islamic councils and associations in Britain, and their condemnation of the crime. Meanwhile, reiterating the OIC’s strong position against all forms of terror, including violence based on religion, an OIC spokesman said: “The brutal and barbaric killing in Woolwich was a criminal and outrageous act by the individuals involved who clearly acted on their own.”

Such a criminal act should in no way be connected to Islam as the Islamic faith preaches peace and rejects terror and killing of innocent people, he said. A serving British soldier was hacked to death by two attackers wielding knives and a meat cleaver near the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich in southeast London on Wednesday.

According to the forest officials, Mani, after refusing to cooperate with the forest officials, drove away only to return soon and roughed up these forest officials. The actor surrendered after the Kerala High Court, disposing his anticipatory bail plea Thursday, asked him to appear before police and directed them to take him to the local court in their jurisdiction after completing their preliminary probe.

A huge crowd had gathered at the Vettilapara police station after news spread that the actor, who hails from this district, was expected to arrive there. Ruia. She plays a sex worker in the film and recently she even promoted the film in Kamathipura, a red light area in Mumbai. ”Whenever I sign a film, I feel from day one till the date my film doesn’t hit the theaters, it is my responsibility – whether I am unwell or unhappy about something, but I have to take out time to promote the film,” she added.

Pakistan caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso decided last week to release the Indian fishermen who have already served their sentence. The authorities released a group of 45 prisoners from a Karachi prison. They later boarded a bus that will bring them to the eastern city of Lahore where they will be handed over to the Indian authorities on the Wagah border, news agency reported.  TV footage showed the freed prisoners were happy at the Pakistani government’s decision.

Pakistan and India routinely arrest fishermen after they cross the maritime boundaries for fishing.  Both countries have not succeeded in determining their water boundaries despite series of dialogue on the issue.  At present, 482 Indian prisoners are in Pakistani jails whereas 496 Pakistanis are in Indian jails.  When the Pakistani prime minister ordered their release, he expressed the hope that the Indian government will reciprocate the gesture and release Pakistani prisoners in Indian jails who have completed their sentence.  The foreign ministry has initiated dialogue with India for the swap of prisoners, officials said.  The decision to free Indian prison came days after tensions between the neighbours following attacks in jails on an Indian and a Pakistani prisoners. Both later died of wounds.

Inspector General (IG) of Police Bhavesh Kumar told reporters here that Rahul Verma, 21, employed as driver, was sacked after businessman Satish Chandra Goyal suspected and accused him of stealing Rs.4.5 lakh from his house about 15 days ago. The IG said Rahul killed the entire family in a fit of rage. Stating that Rahul, son of a goldsmith who had also been a student of animation and did not have any criminal past, wanted to steal money to meet his daily expenses during unemployment days, the IG said Rahul loaned Rs.1 lakh to a friend from the money he stole from the businessman’s house about a fortnight ago.

Ghaziabad’s Senior Superintendent of Police Nitin Tiwari said Rahul entered the businessman’s house at 7.30 p.m. and came out after 9.30 p.m. The SSP had earlier claimed that the killer remained in the house for only about 30 minutes. The driver came to work Tuesday but did not report back for duty the next day when the murders came to light. A police team was put on his trail and caught him late Wednesday, Tiwari told reporter. Police said that Rahul was arrested from the city’s BM Compound while he was planning to flee. During interrogation, Rahul broke down and confessed to the crime, said the SSP, adding that he told the police that a few of his friends were also involved in the seven murders.  Tiwari also said that 10 stolen articles, including some jewellery, have been recovered from Rahul’s possession. Police are now trying to recover the Rs.1 crore that went missing from the house of the Goyals.

Prior to calling the press conference, police had called a meeting of representatives of political parties here to convince them that the genuine killer has been arrested. However, the representatives started raising slogans during the meeting, claiming that police have arrested an innocent young man for the sensational case of multiple killings. Responding to the allegations, the police said the case has not been closed yet and that further facts may emerge during the course of their probe.

Goyal, wife Manju, son Sachin, daughter-in-law Rekha, and grand-children Megha, Neha and Aman were found murdered in their Nayi Basti house in Ghaziabad on Wednesday morning. All markets in the city remained close Thursday to protest the brutal slaughter of the entire family. Following the incident, local police station chief Lallu Lal Maurya has been suspended.

The FBI confirmed a man died while one of its agents was “conducting official duties”. ”The agent, two Massachusetts State Police troopers, and other law enforcement personnel were interviewing an individual in connection with the Boston Marathon bombing investigation when a violent confrontation was initiated by the individual. During the confrontation, the individual was killed and the agent sustained non-life threatening injuries,” said the FBI in a statement.

NBC News reported that Todashev had confessed to his involvement in a triple slaying in Massachusetts 11 September, 2011. Three men were found in an apartment with their throats slashed and their bodies covered with marijuana. One of the murdered men was friends with Tsarnaev, who was also suspected of being involved in the murders. Officials told NBC News that Todashev became violent as he was about to sign a written statement confessing to his involvement in the triple murder, and attacked the FBI agent with a knife. Media reports, quoting Khusn Taramiv, a friend of the victim who was also questioned with Todashev in connection with the Boston bombing investigation, stated that Todashev, like Tsarnaev, originally hailed from Chechnya, a restive and mainly Muslim region of southern Russia.

Todashev had once lived in Boston and was a “casual friend” of Tsarnaev as both were involved at some point in mixed martial-arts fighting, WESH television station reported. The report said Todashev and Tsarnaev had spoken by phone or Skype for about five minutes around one week before the 15 April twin bomb attacks in Boston that killed three people and wounded more than 260 others. The FBI questioned both Todashev and Taramiv Tuesday. Taramiv told local media that investigators said they needed to question Todashev for several hours again on Wednesday.

“They told me they’re going to bring him back,” Taramiv told WESH-TV. “They never brought him back. He felt inside he was going to get shot.” Tsarnaev was killed in a shootout with police near Boston several days after the Marathon bomb attack. His younger brother, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who is also suspected of having taken part in the attack, was captured wounded but alive. He remains hospitalized and is expected to face trial on terrorism charges. US media reported last week that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev scrawled a message shortly before his capture – and has since reiterated to investigators – that the Boston attack was an act of retaliation for the US killing of Muslims in Afghanistan and Iraq.

On Tuesday, Kadyrov met French actor Gerard Depardieu and British actress Elizabeth Hurley. The two actors are set to star in a crime thriller currently being filmed in Moscow and Chechen capital Grozny. Depardieu, who was recently given a Russian passport and an apartment in Grozny after publicly criticising the tax regime in his native France, will play a man whose son is killed and who comes to Russia to avenge him, meeting up with an old flame (played by Hurley) in Moscow and a Chechen friend along the way.

Reports also said Depardieu is set to star in a film about Kadyrov’s father, Akhmad Kadyrov, the first president of Chechnya, who was killed in a bomb attack in Grozny in 2004. Two years ago, Kadyrov’s birthday party was attended by Hollywood stars Jean-Claude Van Damme and Hilary Swank.

Earlier, in a shocking development, Vindoo Dara Singh, the son of late actor Dara Singh, who was arrested on Tuesday for his alleged role in spot-fixing in IPL, admitted to being in touch with a relative of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) owner.

According to sources, BCCI chief and Chennai Supre Kings owner N Srinivasan’s son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan is the relative Vindoo Dara Singh was in touch with.

The call details of Vindoo showed that he made several phone calls to the relative of the CSK owner. It was learnt that Vindoo had an easy access to CSK VIP box during their IPL matches.

The police, according to sources, are examining that how Vindoo became close to the CSK team and how he got the access to the team so easily.

Earlier on Tuesday, Bollywood actor Vindoo Dara Singh, had been arrested in connection with the IPL spot-fixing scandal.

“Vindoo was questioned after he was found to be in contact with the bookies and subsequently arrested today,” an official said without revealing further details.

49-year-old Vindoo, winner of reality television show Bigg Boss season 3, was on many occasions spotted watching IPL matches and attending post-match parties.

His arrest is the first from Bollywood in connection with the latest scandal to hit Indian cricket.

Satish Goel (62), his wife Manju (60), son Sachin (40), daughter-in-law Rekha (38), and grandchildren Medha (13), Honey (11) and Aman were found killed, said a police official who visited the spot in this suburb of the national capital.

“The entire house had been ransacked,” the official said, adding that the damaged wardrobe suggested that the criminals had robbed all the valuables from the house.

The tragedy came to light at 8 a.m. Wednesday when some people in the area found the main gate of the house open.
